Acceptance of Help and Resistance to Treatment

Product Details

Many co-occurring disorder clients come to chemical dependency treatment against their will. If they had their way, they may not come at all, or perhaps delay treatment until much later. This exercise is designed to stimulate a dialogue about common reluctances and resistance to treatment.

It will help you examine your own hesitancies and reservations in the beginning stages of treatment. It is not designed to shame, embarrass, or persuade you to be less resistant. Rather, it is an effort to explore and examine your thoughts and beliefs about getting help.
